This 18th century Berkshire barn has been beautifully restored offering guest rooms furnished in warm country-style with textured fabrics, quilts, rugs, handhewn beams, original artwork and stenciling. The owner-architect, Dave Rothstein, retained the hand-hewn beams, thick plank floors, hideaway corners - creating rooms and suites designed especially for 90's family reunions, small group retreats and quiet getaways. The Barn Suite, Hayloft Suite and Harness Barn offer a range of two to four bedroom suites, perfect for extended families, friends or groups. A hearty breakfast buffet is featured daily and includes fresh fruit, juices, cereals, bagels, homemade muffins, great tea and our own special blend coffee, while the third Sunday monthly features lively jazz sessions accompanied by Sunday papers and interesting refreshments.

Located on scenic Undermountain Road between Salisbury, Connecticut and South Egremont, Massachusetts - the old custom of changing stagecoach horses every seven miles explains our wonderful location. Hikers can cross the foot bridge from the lodge and hike to Race Brook Falls on the Appalachian Trail; skiers are 15 minutes from Catamount or Butternut; just 20 miles from Tanglewood - and close to many great town and country resaurants offering gourmet to family style meals.
