Old Stone Inn, Waynesville, North Carolina
The Inn sits at a cool, breezy 3,200 feet above the town of Waynesville in the midst of the Blue Ridge/Smoky Mountains. Our guests come to raft, bike, hike, fish, ride horses, and canoe. They also take scenic drives, search for mushrooms, fauna and wildlife, sit on a mountain peak and watch the sunset, or just shop at the many craft and antique stores in historic downtown Waynesville. In the morning the fireplace in the Main Lodge greets our guests as they sit for a fabulous full breakfast. In the evening, the dining room glows softly with the fun and romantic atmosphere of candlelight, crisp linens, and the ever present fire in the huge stone fireplace. Simply splendid dinners you won't find anyplace else await. The Inn is a place for truly getting away from the pressing realities of the day with simple classic lodging and delightful romantic dining. It's your kind of place, conveniently accessible in town on 6 acres, yet a true secluded feeling of being deep in the woods Š private, safe and befitting. Southern Living June 1999: "it's our kind of place."
