Cedar Crest is a Queen Anne mansion built in 1891. Constructed in the same opulent style as the Biltmore House, it is nestled among the hemlocks on a 4-acre estate just three blocks north of the Biltmore Estate entrance. Indulge your Victorian fantasies in the opulence of this grand mansion. A rainbow of colors from the leaded glass door lights bathes the interior of the Grand Foyer. The rich warmth of the raised hardwood paneling envelopes the entire first floor. The intricate carving of the ornate fireplaces and the majesty of the massive carved oak staircase defy imagination. Shadowy rooms, a scent of roses from the garden carried as a breeze floats delicate panels of lace into a personal space filled with mementos of a more romantic age. Beaded purses, satin fans, corseted gowns, family protraits, canopied beds and huge, claw foot tubs - this is part of Cedar Crest.

The Guest Cottage, just above the amateur croquet court and gardens, is a 1915 bungalow2gtd ideal for those traveling with friends or seeking additional privacy.
