The charming Columbia Riverfront town of Cathlamet is just over an hour's drive from Portland, but comfortably settled decades back in time. Here people still greet strangers with a smile and a warm hello. The town, first settled in 1846, is nestled in a gentle slope up from the river with an evergreen backdrop of forested hills.



The Bradley House Inn occupies one of the finest historic homes in the area. It is beautifully preserved with original stained glass windows, inlaid oak and mahogany flooring, bronze lighting fixtures, burnished wood wainscoting and even some furnishing which belonged to the first residents of the home. Each of our four lovely guest rooms is individually decorated in English Country style with Laura Ashley and other floral motif fabrics. Piles of fluffy pillows, comforters and lace edged linens welcome the weary traveler.



Our two front rooms have views over the small town to the Columbia River, Puget Island and the hills of Oregon beyond. The sunsets behind those hills often create a golden path across the river; the multi-hued sky and clouds form a colorful backdrop for the hills in black silhouette. Unforgettable!
