On the Banks of the Everglades, a theme Bed & Breakfast Inn is located in Everglades City, a quaint and quiet fishing village in the heart of the Everglades. Everglades City has escaped the development and population growth of South Florida and is "Old Florida" at it's best. Known as the perfect spot for exploring the Everglades and for incredible sport fishing, Everglades City and the "bank" are the perfect destination for your Florida vacation. The Inn is located in the original Bank of Everglades building which was built in 1923. The bank served as an economic center for South Florida until 1963. Renamed "On the Banks of the Everglades Bed & Breakfast Inn", the building was completely renovated and restored with ten rooms. Five suites on the second floor have private baths and all the amenities to accommodate a long term stay. Guestrooms on the main floor share baths, may accommodate two or three investors and are designed for the budget conscience traveler. A hearty breakfast is served each morning from 8:00AM to 9:30 AM on the outdoor patio or in the original walk-in bank vault.
