1 Murray House Bed & Breakfast - Voted one of the best B&B's on the eastern seaboard by Arrington's Bed & Breakfast Journal. Murray House has lovely guest rooms with private baths and best of all private, outside, entrances to each room. Some beds have canopy tops. You can have your personally served gourmet breakfast either in your room or on your own private patio. For your convenience, your room has a TV, VCR, Telephone, A/C and fans. There is a small refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave and toaster. You never have to leave. The second level guest room has a panoramic view of Almy Pond and distant ocean view. There are lovely flower gardens surrounding the in-ground pool and hot tub for two. You are a short (5 minutes) walk to a lovely beach and the famous Newport Mansions and Cliff Walk are just around the corner. Well-trained pets and children welcome. All of this and at reasonable rates.

Fall, Winter & Spring is my time to spruce up the exterior of my Bed & Breakast and since it might be a little bit disorderly, with some very minor repairs in progress, I usually shut down. Since most of the work is sporadic and done during the week, I decided to do what many of my repeat guests have asked me to do and that is Stay Open! With that in mind, I have come up with this money-saving plan: My rooms have their own outside, private entrances, so you can come and go as you please. They also have a compact mini-kitchen area, so you can do your own light breakfast thing, (or you can try some of our delicious, local, breakfast places), As you long as you don't mind some very minor repairs: cleaning up, maybe some outside work in progress, you can get a really great deal for: $ 99.00 per night, (two night minimum) plus tax. (The same rooms have an average summer rate of $ 195.00). (Pets are a bit extra.) My rooms are nicely decorated, have queen size beds w/memory foam toppers, private baths, TV, VCR, A/C, Telephones, patios, compact mini-kitchen areas, private, outside entrances to rooms, etc. Short walk to the Newport Mansions, where Christmas in Newport is celebrated in all the famous Newport Mansions.
