Ten Inverness Way is an attractive inn - a cozy, redwood-shingled building originally built in 1904 as a family home. A flagstone path leads from the road up a slope, through the carefree, cheerful English garden to the front door. Inside, a staircase takes you to the second level and opens up to the living room which has an informal ambiance with a large stone fireplace and is decorated in blue and white with comfortable furniture slip covered in denim and striped fabric. The room is inviting and homey. Guests relax and make themselves at home here - playing games or snuggling up in a window seat with a good book. Teri Mowerey, the new owner of the inn, has converted what was once the breakfast room into a cozy library full of good books, and now small tables are set along the windows of the living room. Simply decorated, the four small bedrooms are fresh and immaculately clean, with handmade quilts on the beds, adding a special touch. A ground-level suite has a kitchen, French doors leading to its own garden, and a handpainted mural surrounding the bed. Guests can reserve a hot tub in the back garden for a private soak. In the morning Teri serves a delicious full breakfast, and is happy to pack a picnic lunch for your exploration of Point Reyes National Seashore.
