Isaac Randall House, Freeport, Maine
Freeport Maine Bed and Breakfast near Portland Art Museum
Built as a Federal style farmhouse in 1823, the Isaac Randall House has been a family-owned and operated bed and breakfast inn since 1984, the oldest in Freeport. Retaining its antique, rustic charm, all nine bedrooms have been completely modernized and have private bath, telephone, and -- in summer -- air conditioning. Some feature working fireplaces, TV-VCR and refrigerators; and each room is uniquely decorated: Victorian, Santa Fe Southwestern, colonial or just plain eclectic. One room consists of a retired railroad caboose.
Enjoy your scrumptious, hearty breakfast in our beam-ceilinged kitchen, in our Mexican-styled Library or, on warm mornings, outdoors in the courtyard. No one has ever left hungry yet!
We're located slightly over a half-mile from Freeport's downtown shopping district and L.L. Bean's fabulous emporium. While only a stone's throw from Main Street, the Isaac Randall House is perched on six quiet wooded acres with pond. Well-behaved pets and children are welcome; a playground-jungle gym is provided for the latter.
Glyn and Jim Friedlander welcome you. We'll be happy to share our knowledge of Maine and do whatever we can to make your stay in Freeport memorably pleasant.
