Overflowing with charming southern hospitality, this c. 1853 historic home skillfully combines old and new, offering six beautifully decorated bedrooms with four poster beds and canopied beds. The Cannonboro inn was recently awarded the Carolopolis Award by the preservation for its restoration and for the quality of upkeep maintained at all times. Enjoy a full southern breakfast on your beautiful piazza surrounded with massive columns, overlooking an intimate garden with a brick lined walk and goldfish pond and fountain. After breakfast our warm and friendly staff will be happy to help you prepare for your day by helping you select a tour or restaurant. Return in the afternoon to a delicious array of baked goods, tea sandwiches and tea. The Cannonboro staff spends most of their day in the kitchen preparing for breakfast such as cinnamon waffles filled with sweet cream cheese and fresh peaches, served with praline sauce. Afternoon treats include artichoke cheese sandwiches and poppy seed cake with orange almond glaze. Our breakfasts and teas have developed quite a following! The Cannonboro is a warm and inviting inn where the guests feel welcome upon arrival and pampered when they leave.
