The Lovett House opened its doors to the public in 1894 as the first post office in Cedaredge with Kate Lovett, Postmistress. It also served as a “way station” for travelers between Delta and the Grand Mesa. In this timeless tradition, the Log Cabin welcomes travelers. The Log Cabin is conveniently located 20 minutes from the top of the Grand Mesa on 2 acres of magnificent old trees (Colorado’s Champion White Ash) and garden spaces. The grounds are a sanctuary for birds and a respite for guests. Play croquet, horseshoes, badminton and end the day in our hot tub gazing at the stars. Inside the Cabin, a large stone fireplace invites you to a warm Colorado welcome! The rooms are decorated with antique tools, cowboy collectibles, original art, classic book collections and rare toys.
