Welcome to Cleftstone Manor...

Our historic Victorian mansion offers a relaxing refuge from everyday life in one of nature's magnificent meetings of land and sea... Mount Desert Island. The 1884 three story mansion is one of only a few on "Millionaires Row" that survived the fire of 1947.

Step back in time to a less harried, romantic era as you enter the Inn. Our common rooms are casually elegant with antique and period furnishings and offer fireside chats, a well-stocked library, games and puzzles, quiet reading on the piazza, and the peacefulness of country living.
All of our bed chambers are furnished with antique and period furnishings, reminiscent of Victorian romance, creating timeless and inviting abodes. Some have fireplaces or balconies with far reaching views. All rooms have private baths and air conditioning.

Wake up to the aroma of a freshly made breakfast. Daily fare includes fresh baked goods, fruit, coffee, tea, juice, cereals and the choice of several hot entrees such as Maine wild blueberry pancakes, quiche, eggs benedict or cinnamon raisin French toast. After your busy day, join us for afternoon and evening refreshments in the sitting room, where a cozy fire is burning on cool nights.

	Off Season Specials In the spring, stay for three nights and your third night is half price! We also have two night packages that include a four star dinner starting at $235! Off season specials are available in May, not including Memorial Day. Please call for details. Honeymoon Packages Honeymoons are very special in our historic mansion! We include a special welcome gift basket for your arrival, and a complimentary bottle of champagne. Honeymoon rates for a minimum three nights stay range from $405 to $585. Please call for more information and availability. Extended Stays With so much to do in Bar Harbor on land and sea, many people like to stay longer. There is a 5% discount on stays of five nights or more. We are sorry but the discount is not available in July or August.
