Barclay House In The West End is an endangered privately owned 1904 heritage home nestled amid skyscrapers in Vancouver's vibrant, urban, desirable West End. Opened as a b&b in 1999, our guest rooms are expansive, on a small intimate scale. Ours is a labour of love, the b&b inspired by a commitment saving and restoring this home, thoughtful, respectful house guests and an ever evolving creative outlet for Innkeeper and Staff.
BH features a remarkable variety of modern services such as wireless internet, cell phones, refrigerators, and luxurious linens and toiletries. Guests who place value in sincere attention, candid information, and small thoughtful details will love Barclay House. We're an ideal spot for business visitors looking for an unique alternative to a Hotel. The house is on of Vancouver's first homes, with stairs, quirks and historical features associated with heritage property. As is the norm for private homes in the Pacific Northwest we do not use air conditioning. Three course breakfast creations, off street parking, local calls, concierge services, cookie delivery, filtered water, evening sherry, baked goods, and more are all inclusive. Modern amenities such as wireless internet, cell phones, and electronics are also available.A small scale bed and breakfast has it's limits. We are not a Hotel. Bed and Breakfasts vary greatly in style, form, depending on location, holiday destination, cost of living, owner's taste's etc.: a little research goes a long way.
At Barclay House you are steps on foot from most of Vancouver's top attractions. You can leave the stress of the car here. We keep rules to a minimum, we ask honoured guests to remain aware they are staying in a home.
