Hacienda Sepulveda, a rural mansion belonging to the Serrano
family for three generations, originally built in 1684, has been
a labor of love for Juan Alfonson Serrano who has spent the
last 10 years preparing it for its new role as a premium hotel
offfering the most authentic of hospitality experiences.

Architectural additions to the original structure were
harmoniously incorporated to blend seamlessly with the
original high ceilings and
thick adobe and stone walls.There are only eleven elegant
suites all decorated in colonial style with wood-burning stoves
for the cool nights of northern Jalisco.

Horseback riding is one of the main attractions and the estate
offers its own stable of well-bred horses and riding trails
through magnificent scenery. A private lake offers peaceful
days of fishing.

Dining here is a rare opportunity to sample original Mexican
recipes passed down over generations. The main dining room
is located in what was once the granary and there are many
romantic corners throughout the property where your hosts
will gladly set up a romantic table for two or a banquet for up
to 500.

The newly opened spa defies description and even the photos
cannot do it justice. The Pre-Hispanic temazcal steam room
sets the atmosphere of peaceful intrigue and the candlelit
corners add the holistic relaxation that is part of a truly
unique spa experience.

While Hacienda Sepulveda is a destination unto itself that
