innkeeping: Input needed from you - newsgroup?

We are considering resubmitting our proposal for a Usenet newsgroup 
for the "business" of innkeeping - and we want your input - as
innkeepers. There are pros and cons:

1) It will broaden the scope of this mailing list, as all people 
involved in the business of innkeeping: vendors, aspiring innkeepers,
etc. as well as innkeepers would be allowed to subscribe. 

2) This mailing list will go away, as it will be melded into that 
newsgroup, which means that the forum * just for innkeepers * 
(whether PAII members or not) will not exist.

3) It would still be a moderated group.

4) Although the PAII list does permit PAII members to "soft market" 
their products/services (vendors, etc.) we try to keep blatant 
advertising off it - as there is the rec.travel.marketplace newsgroup 
which is specially for this purpose. 

What's currently available to our industry: 
PAII-member-only mailing list (can be vendor, aspiring, innkeeper, etc.)
innkeeper mailing list (this one - which is just for innkeepers)
rec.travel.bed+breakfast Usenet newsgroup (which is for the BnB  
inn-seeker (or innkeepers who respond to inquiries) to  discuss...where 
to find, what to find, their experiences, etc.

The new entity would be for ALL who are involved with the business of 
innkeeping, whether innkeeper or not. Your feedback is important. If 
enough want the innkeeper mailing list converted to something else, 
we'll do it. However, if there is not enough interest - we shall not. 
Keeping this one and also doing the newsgroup is not an option. 
Please let me know. We'll take your feedback seriously.
