  On the question of local inkeeping associations belonging to their 
Chamber:
  In my area (Western Mass.), the Stockbridge Lodging Assn. is a very 
active
committee of the local Stockbridge chamber. Even so, there often is 
tension
between the two organizations. You can check with Len Schiller, of the 
Inn at
Stockbridge, who is president of the Chamber and a member of the 
Association.
