We opened our B&B in Hermann, Missouri just 2 months ago.  We joined the
Hermann Visitor"s Association and as a requisite of that also joined the
Hermann Chamber of Commerce.  Since this Visitor's Association covers a
wider range  than just the town of Hermann I have wondered if the 
out-lying
B&B's are happy about this requirement.  As an in-town property I don't 
mind
at all.  The Visitor's Association keeps very good records of the B&B's
number of bookings for a given day, does constant referrals and accounts 
for
more than 70% of our bookings thus far.  Incidently, the cost for joining
the CC if you are a member of of Visitor's Assn. is nominal, only 
$25.00/yr.
