>This seems like a preposterous question; but here goes... Any >opinions on washing bed pillows -- if so how often? Or do you >advocate zippered bed pillow covers (which go under the pillow case)? >The idea being you wash the cover not the pillow itself. >-- >Cynthia Barber & Jon Day Cynthia & Jon, I follow atip that I saw in a publication whose name I have forgotten. The tip was to cover the pillows with a satin cover which can readily be laundered. The added advantage is that the satin (or synthetic substitute) is very, very slippery and thereby makes the changing of pillowcases much faster and easier. Of course you can launder the covers and pillows as you deem necessary. Hope this is of help to you. When you are in the area of historic New Castle, Delaware, do stop by to say hello and get a personally guided tour of our inn/house which dates back to 1732 (the house, not the tour!). Best of luck, Stephen Marks Innkeeper
