innkeeping: New Year traditions

Any great ideas for New Year breakfasts? In the south, where I come from,
it's traditional to eat "greens" for folding money and "peas" for coins on
the first day of the year to bring prosperity. Can anybody translate that

or any other traditions - into something appropriate for breakfast?
