Re: innkeeping: honeymooners

What brings honeymooners back is having had the best possible service
and memories. That means knowing when to leave them alone. We offer a
couple of different honeymoon packages. One two night, suite, wine in
room, breakfast in room, picnic lunch and dinner. We always give a
newlywed couple 2 of our white porcelain mugs with our logo so they'll
be sure to remember us.

We have a couple of secluded spots nearby for picnic and drive them in
our 38 touring sedan with a wonderful lunch, blankets and all the
extras. We ask when they'd like to be picked up.

We've had several newly weds arrive having been booked into other inns
only to find out it was not as advertised. Be careful of overselling
and expectations, it's a very emotional time. You can absolutley ruin
someone's very special night. On the flip side you can insure that you
will have that couple back for every anniv and special time they want
together, if you do it right. (My very expensive one-time-ad in Bride's
magazine was a total flop.)

Good luck. Marilyn
