Our speaker emphasized that the package didn't have to be at any
discount from your normal prices. It might offer extra services,( I
give the wine tour folks wine glasses that say "Taste of Southern
Illinois" on them - not costly). But the main thing is that you've
done the thinking and planning for them and given them ONE PRICE. The
way I approached "partners" was to say that I would charge the
guests' credit card and then would pay the partner. The golf course
offered a week-day rate on the weekend. The limo driver offered 4
hours for a 3 hour price. Both OFFERED, I didn't ask. Maybe I'm
naive, I'm not making any more on the room reservation, and I'm doing
a little extra work. But my guests are getting more for their money -
and hopefully a wonderful weekend.

By the way, I got my first request for the limo wine tour yesterday.
Still trying to confirm with the limo guy that he's available. I'll
keep you posted.
