Ditto House Inn Bed and Breakfast, constructed in the Federal style, was restored in 1985, after serving as a private residence, a primitive bank, a ticket agency, a boarding house, and a civil war hospital and barracks for General William T. Sherman. It is quite common to find buttons, coins, belt buckles, and other items in the general area, left behind by the troops. Other homes in the town are also on the Historic Register, including a "Sears and Roebuck" house, ordered from the catalog and delivered on the railroad. The house is a brick structure whose exterior walls are 18 inches thick. The woodwork, banisters, staircase, and upstairs floors are all original.
The home has more recently received acclaim as a "haunted" house, having been featured on many TV shows, including "Sightings", and "Louisville Tonight," and has been featured in numerous newspaper articles. The "ghost" stories are currently being included in a book to be published about Kentucky ghosts.
