The Seymour House is a stately brick Italianate mansion built in 1862 by Wm. H. Seymour. The Seymours were prominent lumber barons as well as prosperous peach farmers in the area and spared no expense in the construction of this stately home. The original wood floor remains in the dining room as well as intricate carved wood trim on doors and windows. The home has been recently redecorated in a style that compliments the setting. Enjoy nature and ultimate relaxation on our 11 acres of beautiful Michigan countryside, 1/2 mile from Lake Michigan. Grounds are complete with wooded trails and a stocked 1-acre pond for fishing and swimming. Relax on white wicker in our garden patio beneath giant oaks and weeping willows.
