The five uniquely decorated bedrooms furnished with period antiques reflect the elegance of that bygone era. The Greek revival architecture of the house features eleven foot ceilings on both first and second floors with pillars inside and out. Edward Brandt, inventor of the Brandt Automatic Cashier, converted the once two family home to a single dwelling when he remodeled it in 1919. At this time he also enlarged Brandt home to 5500 square feet with a maid's quarters on the second floor. In addition, he completed the decor with stained glass windows, imported marble sinks, Italian ceramic and marble fire places, and employed a German craftsman to add plaster accents to walls and ceilings. The elegance and uniqueness of this home must be seen to be appreciated.
