Lodge At Chaa Creek, Cayo District, Belize

The award-winning Lodge at Chaa Creek has pioneered natural history travel to Belize since 1980 and has evolved as one of Belize’s premier destinations for a wide range of Caribbean and Central American adventures. Our 330-acre private nature reserve on the Macal River hosts an internationally recognized Natural History Centre, Butterfly Farm, miles of trails for walking, birding, mountain biking or horseback riding, a fleet of canoes, exquisite spa, conference centre, adventure tours, and access to Belize’s richest Maya archeological sites. Some 250 species of birds have been sighted within the reserve. Our Jungle Lodge is comprised of 19 thatched cottage rooms and two luxury suites nestled along the riverside. Additionally our Macal River Jungle Camp features 10 fully-screened casitas, each having two comfortable beds and a private sheltered porch for quiet relaxation and peaceful views in the undisturbed jungle habitat. Travelers exchange stories and relax at our verandah bar before enjoying delicious meals in the Chaa Creek restaurant.
