Turn-of-the century "Portage" brick house is nestled in beautifully landscaped rolling hills along the Neenah Creek. Wildlife abounds all during the year with sandhill cranes and geese gathering in the fields every fall.

Newly remodeled and landscaped, guests have full use of a large living-dining area, a common room with color TV and VCR, and a solarium in this family home. Outdoor porches and a terrace surrounded by a stone wall, as well as 11 acres with walking paths bordered with trees, shrubs, benches, flowers and herbs along the Neenah Creek beckon you to explore.

Your host is a potter and woodcarver. Doug has stoneware pottery available for sale and will demonstrate for guests upon arrangement. Portage and Wisconsin Dells are an easy drive.

Each room has a queen-size bed with dual-control electric blankets and a private bath. Guests enjoy an evening homemade snack and a full breakfast in the morning. A sample menu might include: crab quiche with green onions and Baby Swiss cheese, crisp bacon, garden-fresh tomatoes with basil and Italian dressing, Glazed Apple Pastry with walnuts, sourcream coffeecake decorated with edible flowers, orange juice, and coffee, tea or milk.
