Walk along the Mark Twain National Forest down to Bull Creek, a spring-fed crystal clear stream. There you might enjoy stream-snorkeling or a private 'swimming hole.' Explore, hunt for arrowheads or you might find an old one-room school house near the shore, catch/release a fish and see some birds and wildflowers galore.
If you prefer the less strenuous activities, try reading on the deck or relaxing in the hot tub. Star gazing is delightful without city lights to dampen the pleasure. Fall and winter are especially romantic in front of the fireplace with your special someone.
The unique atmosphere provided by family antiques and the woodsy detail of the Amish builders make this suite a very special place. You will be our 'only' guests and may choose to sleep in the loft or in the "rose" bedroom. Our pets, two dogs and a cat, will make you feel at home with a friendly welcome wag of the tail. Your breakfast is nicknamed the "no lunch breakfast." Dear's Rest will accommodate a family of five.
