Located on the old stage coach route at the foot of the Middlebury Gap in the heart of Robert Frost country; a short distance from the Middlebury College Summer campus at Breadloaf and the Green Mountain National Forest hiking trails. An architecturally significant 1850 Greek revival, charmingly decorated, with country quilts and hand stenciling throughout our four rooms. Information regarding the surrounding area, such as golf, tennis, swimming, and shopping are available from your hosts. We are centrally located and within easy driving distance of the college and downtown Middlebury. Whatever we have forgotten to tell you is available for the asking. So whether you are visiting the Middlebury area for the cool summers, fall foliage, college activities, shopping, hiking or biking, we will do our best to make your stay at the "Pumpkin" enjoyable.
