The Hawkesdene House is a private home that combines all the charm and comfort of an English Country House with the rustic beauty of the North Carolina mountains to provide a Bed and Breakfast experience unmatched in the area. Our house sits on 20 acres of land nestled in a mountain cove adjoining the Nantahala National Forest, some 3 miles above the village of Andrews. So come on in. Relax in a rocking chair on our spacious deck overlooking a sparkling mountain stream. Meander through the woodland paths that weave their way through the surrounding hills. Let our Llamas take you on a trek into the forest, toting your lunch so that you can enjoy the beauty of the wilderness without a pack. Or just curl up with a good book by the fireside in the Great Room. It's your relaxing get-away. You can set your own pace. For families, the "Appletree Cottage" or the "Blueberry Cottage" provide an opportunity for the whole family to enjoy the area at an affordable cost. Each cottage sleeps up to 6 people and has all modern conveniences--but you can pan gold in a stream near your door, or hike from your front door into the forest.
