Dunmore Acres is a quiet, beautiful, rustic resort great for families. It is tucked in the mountains, located on Lake Dunmore in Leicester. The resort has nine one, two and three bedroom cabins that come furnished with hot showers, stove, refrigerator, posts, pans and dishes. Guests must supply sheets and towels. Each cabin has a charcoal grill and picnic table. Most have a pit for small fire to toast marshmallows, hotdogs or just to sit and watch the stars. Free firewood. A short two minute walk through the woods brings you to a small beach on Lake Dunmore. Great for swimming, boating and fishing the lake is 3/4 mile wide and 5 miles long. A canoe, row boat and kayak are available. Dunmore has a large Recreation Hall with a fieldstone fireplace built in the 1920's and is filled with a large library of books for adults and children plus lots of couches to curl up and read on. The Hall is gread for rainy days, reunions, and ping pong. Cabins available by the week $425 for two bedrooms and $450 per week for three bedrooms. Daily rentals when available. Open memorial day - Columbus Day.
