Thomas Mott Homestead Bed & Breakfast63 Blue Rock Road on Lake ChamplainAlburg, Vermont 05440 United States 802-796-3736 800-348-0843 FAX: 802-796-3736 http://www.thomas-mott-bb.com Rate this Inn The Thomas Mott Homestead is a completely restored 1838 farmhouse on the northern shore of Lake Champlain located four miles south of Alburg, Vermont. Burlington and the Island of Montreal are each less than one hour away. Hosted by Patrick Schallert, the homestead has five bedrooms with private baths and views of the lake. A sumptuous breakfast is individually prepared for each guest from a varied menu of quiches, pancakes, french toast with Pat's secret dip and omelettes--about fifteen--at last count. The other views, beyond the Lake, are to the east, the Green mountains and Jay Peak; to the south, Camel's Hump and Mount Mansfield; to the west, the Adirondacks from Lyon Mountain to Whiteface Mountain. Because of the property's location on a small peninsula, each day's sunrise and sunset is seen across the lake forcing colors akin to a fire. Once a month we offer a very special amenity for a period of about five to six days, namely a full moon rising then setting over the lake. The Harvest Moon is a sight always to be remembered. Enjoy also 10-15 flavors of complimentary Ben & Jerry's ice cream. Owner(s): Patrick J.
