There's a pink Victorian house across from the library in Lewes where you can be serenaded with music from a 1912 player piano, an original 1908 Edison phonograph, or a beautiful mahogany pre-World War I Victrola. The house was built around 1900 by Lightship Captain Arthur Hudson. Inside the Queen Anne Victorian home are high ceilings, delicately carved scroll work, lavish wallpaper,antique furnishings, lots of collections and typical Victorian detail to pattern and color. During their five seasons as innkeepers, Hope and Mike Tyler have attracted lots of media attention. Recipes for muffins and the inn1s signature Honey Banana Raisin Bread have appeared in national cookbooks. Every morning guests are treated to an uncommon breakfast in the dining room under an authentic brass "gasolier" chandelier. At the end of a busy day at the beach, guests look forward to sipping a cool glass of Wild Swan's special sun tea on the porch gazebo or in the privacy of the pool side patio garden. There's plenty of fine dining in Lewes, just a walk away. When you return to your room at night, you'll find its been freshened and a plate of cookies or some sweet treats will be waiting at your bedside.
