"A Place To Love In The Flint Hills" Built in 1874 of native stone from the adjacent quarry and restored to meet today's standards of luxury, we're only 5 miles from Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve. Romantic escapes and restful interludes are enjoyed by our guests in the heart of Kansas' scenic Flint Hills, while finding many things to do in the county described in depth by William Least Heat-Moon in his book, "PrairyErth". We have a walking trail over one mile long that loops by old stone fences, the river valley & woods, a stocked pond, wildlife & birds, and prairie restoration projects. Our new suite offers two-person jacuzzi & shower. Memorable breakfasts are served in our inviting Fireplace Room in the warm glow of the morning sun and to the pleasant sounds of birds.
