Oaks B&B has it all. Nestled in the shelter of ancient live oaks in

the midst of Victoria's Historic Preservation area, it lives up to

its name. Victoria was founded in 1824 at nearby "Street of Ten

Friends." The old Indian word "tejas/Texas" means friendly.

Four guest rooms, each with a private bath, carry out individual

themes. The romantic pastel Boudoir with its high four-poster bed and

wicker sitting area is so relaxing that it washes away stress. The

Ranch with its log canopy bed and farm implements celebrates Victoria's

history where the Texas cattle industry began. A murphy bed is available with small charge in the Ranch. Scottish history and artifacts abound in the Thrifty Scot with its cedar lined bathroom. The Preservation Room is decorated in the era of the historic house and furnished with family memorabilia and antique German beer steins.

A Conference Room is a popular setting for all sorts of gatherings.

Facilities for the handicapped are available.

Victoria is a growing accessible city with a full schedule of cultural

and recreational events from theatre and symphony to fishing and
