Camellia Inn, Healdsburg, California
Healdsburg California Bed and Breakfast near Winter Wineland
More than 50 varieties of camellias bloom on the landscaped grounds of the Camellia Inn, and surround its villa style swimming pool. The townhouse, built in 1869 by Ransome Powell, is Italianate in design and its simple facade is accented by elegant arched windows and a round-arched doorway and porch. Heavily carved crown molding, double parlors with twin marble fireplaces, inlaid hardwood floors and ceiling medallions are just some of the architectural treats. The spacious dining room with its massive mahogany mantle recalls the elegance of yesteryear. Camellia Inn is a perfect site for meetings, retreats or get-away vacations. The solarium, with its many windows looking out to the courtyard and pond, provides an excellent site for team-building or strategy sessions. Come for the Robert Burns Birthday Celebration, Cooking Class Series, delicious Afternoon Teas, the Holiday Opera House, or splendid Holiday Progressive Dinner. Guests rooms all have private baths and are decorated individually with antiques. Healdsburg is just 70 miles north of San Francisco on Highway 101. The inn is located on a quiet residential street, in walking distance to shops, fine restaurants and wine tasting rooms.
