Friar's Tuckaway Bed and Breakfast is located in the midst of the beautiful woods of Northern Wisconsin, 20 minutes north of Minoqua and 35 minutes south of Hurly/Ironwood, MI. From here it is only a short drive to Park Falls, Eagle River, Boulder Junction, and St. Germain. Friar's Tuckaway is centrally located to many sports and activities such as skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, fishing... etc. If you are looking for rest and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle, then Friar's Tuckaway is for you.
The house itself, originally a private home built in the mid-1940s, was completely remodeled to accommodate the Bed and Breakfast. We offer guests three bedrooms tastefully decorated with handmade quilts and photographs of the surrounding area. Each bedroom has its own private bath. The Fireside room is reserved for our guests' relaxation and enjoyment. A full gourmet breakfast is served in the Fireside room where the view of the lake is breathtaking. From the large screen porch guests can see the 200-foot white sand beach and beautiful clear Little Star Lake which invites swimmers and sunbathers. Friar's Tuckaway also offers special retreat days during the year such as cooking, sewing, quilting, quiet, etc.
