Whitehaven was built in the 1920's as a grand summer estate secluded on the shores of Whitefish Lake in northern Wisconsin. The main house on the 15 acre estate is now the Bed & Breakfast which boasts terrific views of the lake including spectacular sunsets.
Whitefish Lake is a 200 acre spring-fed lake with great fishing and crystal clear water for swimming. A canoe, sailboat, paddleboat, and rowboat are at the disposal of our guests for their enjoyment.
Three guest cottages share 500' of shoreline with the Bed & Breakfast, however each has it's own pier and boats. The ' caretaker's' cottage sleeps six, the' chauffeur's ' cottage sleeps eight, and the 'barn' cottage sleeps eight. All have gas fireplaces and all are open all year.
Hearty breakfasts are served on the heated porch most of the year. There our guests enjoy the call of loons, waterfowl visits and often spot eagles soaring over the lake.
With several wonderful restaurants and coffee shops nearby, visitors find a great variety in menu choices and prices. Fine art shops, unique gift shops and charming antique shops abound. There is something for everyone in Wisconsin's Northwoods. We look forward to your visit.
