The Boone's Lick Trail Inn is named for the road blazed by the sons of Daniel Boone for transporting salt. The Inn, circa 1840, served many uses: tavern, tannery, hospital, apartments, "bawdy house" and hippie restaurant until 1981 when the Mydler family began the historical restoration. Today, it serves as the southern anchor of the Saint Charles National Historic District, a delightful 10 block area with cobblestone streets, gas lamps and over 100 shops, boutiques and restaurants.



At our doorstep lie the historic 230 mile hiking & biking Katy Trail State Park, Goldenrod Showboat, Casino St, Charles, Lewis and Clark Museum (a certified site on the Lewis and Clark Trail), Missouri's first State Capitol, and Frenchtown, with the St. Phillipine Duchesne Shrine.



A unique feature of the Inn for the outdoor enthusiast is seasonal duck hunting on the Mississippi Flyway, with Paul Mydler, M.H., as guide. Our five room Inn is in town, on the corner of Boone's Lick Rd. & Main Street, which can be busy at times. All rooms have private baths, phones, TVs, and central air-conditioning, with special attention to the business traveler. Boone's Lick Trail Inn is a completely non-smoking inn.
