Villikula Cottage is a traditional farmhouse set in the beautiful Fosterton Valley where the mountain forests meet the farmland and never fails to impress the visitor. The surrounding forests include much rainforest and is an ideal base for bushwalking or hiking enthusiasts. The farmhouse is about 15 minutes drive from a little country town called Dungog which was established in 1838 as a military post to help put down bushrangers in the area. Situated on the upper reach of the Williams River, it is one of the main access routes to Barrington Tops National Park. There are walking trails along the Telegherry River, BBQ, picnic, swimming and camping spots. Scenic waterfalls with pleasant walks nearby. Duncan Park and Barrington Tops National Park have fascinating plateaus and are a source of several rivers. The Barrington bush is noted for its unusual flora and rich variety of wildlife. Chichester Dam is a beautiful lake in a picturesque mountain setting an ideal spot for a BBQ.
