In mile-high Fort Davis in the Davis Mountains, the Veranda is a spacious historic inn surrounded by walled gardens and courtyards. Built in 1883, this unique adobe building, with 2' thick walls and 12' high ceilings, has 14 large rooms and suites furnished with antiques and collectibles. A separate Carriage House has two bedrooms, a bath, kitchen, and living room and is located behind the gardens of the inn under the shade of a large pecan tree. A separate Garden Cottage has one bedroom and bath. This gracious, charming inn provides a change of pace and lifestyle. It is a restful getaway and a perfect setting for small retreats and conferences.
