Nestled in a valley on San Juan Island is the Trumpeter Inn. Vistas of meadow lands and the snow peaked Olympic Mountains are the exterior wrappings of this comfortable inn. The inn is decorated with a sophisticated country charm. Each guest room is tastefully appointed offering a king or queen sized bed, private bath, down comforter and gorgeous view. Some rooms have fireplaces and private decks. Local specialties grace the breakfast table. Our hammock and hot tub, day or night, are wonderful places to relax. Fall and spring offer the unique opportunity to enjoy migrating birds and water fowl. However, anytime of year there are many species of wildlife to view on our five acre property or nearby. San Juan and the surrounding islands are located in the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains. As a result, we have less rain and warmer weather than the nearby mainland.
