Beaconsfield Inn, Victoria, British Columbia

The Beaconsfield Inn is secluded on a quiet, tree-lined residential street one block from Beacon Hill Park and four blocks from the waterfront and downtown core. This registered, heritage building (1905) is named after a luxurious London Hotel that was frequented by King Edward VII in pre-World War I England. From the moment you step through the doors into the richly panelled and fireplace-cheered entry, you are drawn into the old world charm of the turn-of-the-century Edwardian era. The luxury and quiet refinement of that period is reflected by the mahogany wood floors, 11 foot beamed ceilings, wainscotting, mouldings, antiques, selected works of art and fresh flowers. The elegance of this English country inn is tastefully blended with the comforts expected today. Each room is individually decorated to be a romantic delight. As our guest, it is your chance to escape back to a quieter world where all that becomes important is that the tea is served and the fire is kept stoked!
