Windsong is a contemporary log B&B with a special flair. Located on 24 acres high in the Smoky Mountains with fabulous views, the gentle mountain breezes flowing down the mountain and through the many wind chimes inspired its name. One can be lazy here, sitting in the hot tub watching the hawks circling; or you might lounge by the swimming pool gazing at the flower and herb gardens. For the more active, there's tennis and hiking or perhaps you'd like to join one of our renowned Llama Dinner Treks. If you want, you can feed the llamas and pygmy goats.
Innkeepers Russ and Barbara Mancini settled here after living many years in Bavaria, London, Berlin, and Budapest. They have put together a unique blend of European antiques and art, African, Southwestern and Alaskan art. You may find a Sioux Indian picture next to a 200 year-old English clock. Guestrooms feature queen size beds, private baths, wood-burning fireplaces and tubs for two. Each has a unique decorating motif. There’s the exotic Safari Room (a honeymoon favorite), Santa Fe Room, Alaska Room, Country Room and ever-so-peaceful Garden Room. In the morning, feast on an ever changing gourmet breakfast served on fine English china. In the evening, remember there's a scrumptious Llama Dinner Treks.
In addition to the Main Inn, there is the Pond Lodge with 2-bedrooms suites, great for families or those wanting privacy. Suites have a living/dining room with a pot-bellied stove, fully equipped kitchen and a wonderful tub for two. Sit out on the deck in the evening and barbecue on the grill while watching the animals in the pasture. An extensive continental breakfast is provided here.
