A Governor'S Inn, Buckhannon, West Virginia

To return to the days of Victorian grace and charm is as easy as stepping inside A Governor's Inn. The century old red brick mansion was built by the second Governor of West Virginia, D. D. T. Farnsworth. The stately gentleman spared no expense and no detail was overlooked in the family home for his wife and fifteen children. The flames from the fireplace in the main foyer casts a glow on the hand carved staircase which lead to the guest rooms and beckon visitors to cuddle in over-stuffed chairs with favorite books, to wrap themselves in their luxurious robes while sipping flavored coffees, and to eventually drift into a wonderful night of dreams in European down feather beds.
