The Hawthorn is a spacious, Victorian Queen Anne style home built in 1894 to take full advantage of the views of Camden Harbor and Mt. Battie. The Inn is situated on over an acre of lawn, trees and gardens, minutes from the harbor and quaint village with its historic Windjammers, unique shops and excellent restaurants. The Inn is a short drive from other Mid-Coast points of interest--unpack once and day-trip to Acadia National Park, or the islands of Islesboro, Vinalhaven and Monhegan. Enjoy hiking and scenic overlooks in Camden Hills State Park, kayaking or sailing on Penobscot Bay, or exploring many local museums and galleries. A delicious, full breakfast is served at the inn each morning, either on the deck overlooking the harbor or inside the dining room by fireside. Being seasoned travelers themselves, the innkeepers know how to provide guests an enjoyable and memorable experience.
