A hike among the redwoods at Hendy Woods State Park should be a definite stop during a visit to the Anderson Valley. Known for outstanding wines and champagnes, the Anderson Valley tasting rooms are small and personable where visitors may have a chance to talk with the winemaker or take a winery tour. A drive to the spectacular Mendocino coast is only 30 minutes away where you can walk the beach or browse the unique shops and galleries. For lunch or dinner there are many outstanding local and coastal restaurants to choose from.
