1905 Manor house surrounded by rose and herb gardens. Victorian- style decor with elegant, yet comfortable furnishings. The chestnut woodwork and built-in cabinets throughout the first floor are original to the house and create an old-fashioned warmth. Common areas include the parlor (with working fireplace), plant-filled conservatory and tea room. Herbal gift shop on premises.
Our herbal theme is reflected in decorative touches throughout the house, as well as in our gourmet cooking. Full breakfast served. Afternoon high tea is available to overnight guests and members of the public by reservation.
Friendly service provided by innkeepers includes assistance with dinner reservations and sightseeing plans and arrangements for dinner with an Amish family. We're also happy to direct our guests to "off- the-beaten-path" places to visit and scenic backroads routes through Pennsylvania Dutch farmland.
