Big Bay Michigan Bed and Breakfast near Marquette Mountain Skiing
In 1996, the two story brick building and adjoining 60-foot high square tower were converted into a bed and breakfast facility. The 14 room inn has seven guest rooms, all with private bath, a common living room, dining room, library, as well as a sauna. Guests enjoy all the conveniences of modern life with the exception of individual television and phones. In addition, more than three acres of lawn, 40 acres of woods with trails are at the disposal of guests.
From the lighthouse lantern, 120 feet above the lake, guests can survey open fields of native grasses and wild flowers, dense hardwood and pine forests, the majestic Huron mountains, and the ever changing face of Lake Superior. The drama of lightning-bolt dances, ice sculptures, and dramatic gales, as well as the spectacle of the night sky and Aurora Borealis are breathtaking.
Guests can retreat to the intimacy of the lighthouse interior, where the atmosphere is relaxed and casual.
