Schloss Matzen

The castle's beautifully antique furnished bedrooms are centrally heated and have their own modern bathrooms. Some rooms have a view of the Alps. Throughout its long existence, many a lord has slept in its rooms. The magnificent room in which Teddy Roosevelt stayed in the early to mid 1890s while he was still Governor of New York, today bears his name. Guests may explore the interior of the castle on their own or take a tour with their host to explore its unique history.

The breakfast buffet will delight every guest with its luscious offerings of Austrian and American favorites. Local restaurants offer excellent regional specialties.
