Great House, Galesburg, Illinois
Galesburg Illinois Bed and Breakfast with Fire Places and Music Room
The home was built for Silas Willard in 1856. Their children called it the great house, thus our name for our bed & breakfast.
This stately home mirrored the economic vitality of Galesburg in the late 1850s. Originally there were eight marble fireplaces in the home. Today there are five on the first floor: in the living room, dining room, library and music room. Richard and Betty took over ownership in November 1993, and have been busy constructing and remodeling ever since.
