Welcome to the Admiral Peary House. Built in 1865, "the house of three gables" as it was known, was for several years, the home of Robert E. Peary the famous American explorer who discovered the North Pole. Our sprawling New England home sits on nearly seven tree studded acres in the historic village of Fryeburg, the oldest town in the White Mountains.




Only 9 miles from the hustle and bustle of North Conway, New Hampshire, we are central to so many activities in the area. Every season brings something new to do and whether your preference is for outdoor or indoor pursuits, our home is the ideal spot to spend your vacation. After a busy day, relax on the wicker-furnished screen porch or sit by the fire in our lovely guest living room. Our property also boasts a huge lawn, pole barn, snowshoe trails, free WIFI in every room, beautiful perennial gardens, and a regulation size billiard table - all complimentary to our guests.
